5 Pillars of Strength

When it comes to the pursuit of happiness, your dreams, and achieving your goals, it is essential to have a strong support system to stand on to encourage, motivate, and inspire you to keep moving.  New Image University likes to call this support system the 5 pillars of strength.

The 5 Pillars of Strength are in place:
      * to support/help through difficult times, including those times when you feel weary, worn, and beat down
      * to encourage you to keep moving and not give up
      * to motivate you to do the work that needs to be done
      * to build a solid foundation that is not easily shaken when facing the opposition of any kind
      * to serve as a reminder that anything you desire, whether you want to lose weight, improve personal development, renew your mind, trade bad habits for healthy ones, transformation in one form or the other, it's all a process.

These 5 Pillars of Strength (in no particular order) are as follow:

       1. Faith     2.  Love    3.  Joy    4.   Hope    5. Peace

In everything that you do, keep these 5 Pillars of Strength front and center of your mind.  New Image University uses biblical principles to define them.

"Now faith is the assurance (title deed, confirmation)
of things hoped for (divinely guaranteed), and the evidence
of things not seen [the conviction of their reality
—faith comprehends as fact what cannot
be experienced by the physical senses]."
(Hebrews 11:1)

"Love bears all things [regardless of what comes],
believes all things [looking for the best in each one],
hopes all things [remaining steadfast during difficult times],
 endures all things [without weakening].
Love never fails [it never fades nor ends]."
(1 Corinthians 13:7-8)

"And do not be worried, for the joy of the Lord
is your strength and your stronghold.”
(Nehemiah 8:10)

"This hope [this confident assurance] we have as
an anchor of the soul [it cannot slip and it cannot
break down under whatever pressure bears upon it]
—a safe and steadfast hope that enters within the veil
[of the heavenly temple, that most Holy Place
in which the very presence of God dwells]."
(Hebrews 6:19)

"And the peace of God [that peace which reassures
the heart, that peace] which transcends all understanding,
[that peace which] stands guard over your hearts
and your minds in Christ Jesus [is yours]."
(Philippians 4:7)

Please keep in mind that one pillar is not more important than the other.  They work hand in hand with each other.  You can have peace without joy.  You can't have hope without faith and so on and so on.  Our goal is to show you innovative ways to apply the 5 pillars of strength to everyday life.
