Spiritual Awareness

Being spiritually aware is about exploring and cultivating a deeper sense of connection, purpose, and belonging possibly something greater than you.  However, you have to decide what that "something" is for you.  Spiritual awareness can have a different meaning to you, but for the team at New Image University, it means a deeper connection with God, paying attention to soft His whispers in the wind, and appreciating the smallest of miracles.

Spiritual awareness is also about being mindful, which means practicing or maintaining your focus on your thoughts, words, and action as well as your behavior in regard to how you respond to certain situations.

Behavior response plays a huge role in spiritual awareness because it can make or break the law of sowing and reaping in your life.  For example, responding to a situation in a negative and angry manner opens the door to more negative things that can make you angry if not angrier to come back to you.  You sow the seed of anger and negativity.  You reap a harvest of anger and negativity, which in turn can disconnect you spiritually and have you operate at a lower vibration of expectancy. Another way to look at is if you sow corn seeds, you are not going to reap a bountiful harvest of field peas.

Despite your religion, you have to be spiritually aware because the same law of sowing and reaping applies to you.  When trying to be more spiritually aware, really hone in on the art of being mindful.  Think about and identify any triggers that can deter you from what you trying to accomplish.  For example, you may have to love certain people, relatives, etc. from a distance for the purpose of keeping your sanity and staying focused on the bigger picture which may be your goals and/or your dreams.

To sum it all up, spiritual awareness is keeping your mind on your spirit and all that's good and positive.
