An Attitude of Gratitude

"To be or not to be? That is the question."  Well, in this case, it's not.  The million-dollar question is "What are you grateful for?"

When you have an attitude of gratitude over the smallest of things, you may receive bigger things than can you ever imagine to be grateful for.  For example, what if you were always grateful for the money that you currently have even though it's barely enough to pay your bills, then all of a sudden you were blessed to receive thousands or millions of dollars via a long distant aunt who died (may she rest in peace) and left you a hefty inheritance or you won the lottery.  You may think, "Yeah right." But, I'm here to tell you that you never know.  It can happen if you only believe.

Gratitude means to be appreciative of benefits received from life, from God, from the world, from your job, from your family, and so on. By not expressing the attitude of gratitude, we tend to take things or people for granted.  And it is not until they are gone for whatever reason that out of desperation we are willing to show an ounce of gratitude.

Developing an attitude of gratitude means developing or creating a routine to express thankfulness and appreciation as well as acknowledgment of blessings seen and unseen.  You can start by writing down at least one thing (big or small) you are grateful for in a notebook as part of your morning routine and before going to bed.  This will help you start and end the day with happy and thankful thoughts.

An attitude of gratitude plays an important role with New Image University motivating and inspiring transformation from the inside out because gratitude gives you a new lease on life, makes you feel younger, contributes to a healthier lifestyle by reducing stress, gives your immune system a much-needed boost, and gives you peace in the midst of a chaotic storm.

One of our many goals at New Image University is to help create and share various ways to develop or increase your attitude of gratitude for greater things in all areas of your life.
