Dreams: Power + Process = Reality Series
Why Dream Big Dreams?

In our previous post, we introduced you to our new series:
Dreams: Power + Process = Reality.  Throughout the series,  will explore our dream formula (Power + Process = Reality) in three sections.

    1.  Why Dream Big Dreams (Power)
   2.  Dare to Dream (Process)
  3.  Dreams Come True (Reality)

So, let's dive in.  Shall we?

"Dream Big, because
dreams do happen."
- Alex Morgan

Why NOT Dream BIG Dreams?

Many people may have asked, "Why dream big dreams?"  But, the question really is "Why NOT dream BIG dreams?"  There are no valid reasons as to why we should not dream big.  If anyone were to say they have a reason or two for not going after their dreams, then my response will be, "Excuses are not reasons.  They are cop-outs."  You must decide.  Are you going to make moves or make excuses?  The choice is yours.

Dreaming big, rather than small, does the mind and body good.  For starters, it provides us with a purpose as well as tools, resources, etc. for success and growth.  We will discuss more of these benefits later on in this post.  Just know that anything you desire in life, whether it's to have a thriving and successful business, to live a life of abundance, or to make some form of history, starts with a dream.  Everything starts with a dream.

“Without dreaming big, we fail
to reach our highest potential.”
― Lailah Gifty Akita

How to Dream Big?

There is no magic formula for dreaming big.  It does not even require a college degree.  You just simply have to dream what society might deem as impossible.  Big dreams are not normal or part of the status quo.  It seems to defy the law of gravity, whereas staying down and defeated are not acceptable.  If you want to know how to dream big, start by doing just a few things.

            1. Activate Your Faith - Impossible should not be in your vocabulary.  Faith is believing without having any concrete evidence that it is true.  You don't even know the "How?"  But, one thing you know for sure is that your dream will and is going to come true. You have planted seeds of faith and now it's time to reap the harvest from it.  So, eliminate Fear.  Fear takes away your strength, your focus, and the ability to believe in yourself.

           2. Ignore the naysayers - Some will.  Some won't.  So what?!?  Naysayers know everything but know nothing.  They do not have the final say when it comes to your dreams.  Your big dreams do not need their validation.  There's no need to explain how your dreams are coming true or what makes you so special.  The outcome of your big dreams does not depend on rather or not you know exactly how it's going to happen.  You may not even understand nor are you able to explain them yourself.  You just know that you know and that's what's important.

"You can't tell big dreams to
small-minded people."
- Steve Harvey

          3. Stay Positive - It's impossible to have big dreams with a negative attitude.  Negative sows into negative energy, which reaps nothing, zilch, a big fat goose egg of nothing that will help you achieve your dreams.  Stay positive.  There are going to be some mistakes made, disappointments, and obstacles.  However, the way you respond to these not-so-great things will determine how you will proceed with your big dreams. Staying positive means seeing the future, leaving the past, and learning from the present.

         4. Expect Great Things - Regardless of your past, where you came from, your education or lack thereof, keep your expectations high.  Do not settle for less.  You deserve more than the crumbs from the dinner table or off the floor.  Expect great things.  Expect that one day your big dreams will have a huge impact on millions of people everywhere.  Expect doors of opportunities to open up one after the other.  Expect to have all your hard work to pay off.  You deserve it. You have to believe that you do, too.  Great doings are going to happen to you.

"You have a right to dream big,
 illogical, irrational and
unreasonable dreams."
― Duncan Muguku.

Dreaming Big Has Benefits and Power

There are several benefits to dreaming big.  Just to name a few, here are some as follow:

                                Focus, Personal Development, Determination
Discipline, Strength, Wisdom, Purpose, Being a Role Model.
                                    Creativity Enhancement, Mindfulness

Dreaming big gives you benefits as well as power.   One of the main components in New Image University's Dream formula is power.  Power is the ability to act or produce an effect, possession of control, authority or influence of others.

The benefits of dreaming big give you the ability to produce a positive, long-lasting, yet, powerful effect on your big dreams becoming a reality.  You are in possession of your future and in full control of your destiny.  With this newfound power, you can become a role model and influence others to go after their dreams and not give up on them.

"Dream no small dreams for they have
no power to move the hearts of men."
- Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
